We're in search of an enthusiastic software engineer who possesses a strong desire to expand their knowledge. Your role will involve crafting both static and interactive landing pages, as well as websites utilising platforms like Wordpress and Contentful, along with technologies such as HTML, CSS and Javascript. The foundation for your work will be the design concepts provided by our creative team. We're seeking a software engineer adept at innovative problem-solving, dedicated to achieving tangible outcomes.

Day to day will see you:

  • Work with UX/UI designers and QA to make sure our wordpress website is designed and developed purposefully and meeting high accessibility standards.
  • Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to discuss website design and function.
  • Building and maintaining WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Conducting website performance tests.
  • Continuously optimising infrastructure to ensure site speed is maximised.
  • Troubleshooting content issues.
  • Conducting WordPress training of new features.
  • Monitoring the performance of the live website

What are we looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
  • Solid understanding of frontend technologies
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Bootstrap framework, HTML5, and jQuery or React.
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively seek solutions
  • Knowledge of GIT including feature branching, merge conflicts
  • Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
  • Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Good communication skills.

Bonus points for:

  • Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
  • Working experience of Next.js, Node.js and Typescript.
