Product Designer
Full-time
Remote
Years from now, history will look back at this time as a landmark for the human race—the moment when artificial intelligence, machine learning and digital connectivity combined to change everything. You are lucky enough to be living through it. Now what?
If you’re one of those rare people driven to add their intellectual energy to technology’s relentless momentum, consider Loka your optimal leverage point.
Loka, a globally distributed tech consultancy based in Silicon Valley, USA, is seeking a Product Designer to join our growing team. We’re engineers and developers at our core—frontend, backend, DevOps, ML, GenAI, big data—augmented by meticulous and inventive designers and UX/UI obsessives. This is where you fit in: The Product Designer will collaborate across teams to develop prototypes and visual models for clients. We work with all kinds of companies, from Silicon Valley startups to major household brands that fix the climate, defeat cancer, deliver agricultural efficiencies, teach kids to read and more, always guided by our fundamental belief that mission matters.
We count more than 200 certified specialists, technical experts and PhDs among our teammates—committed Lokals who contribute to their brilliance not only to serving our clients but to mentoring younger colleagues as well. As Product Designer you will benefit from learning not only from your peers but from the strictures of a wildly diverse range of businesses and industries. We work entirely remotely, test new ideas with an in-house sandbox called LokaLabs, observe local holidays and take every other Friday off. We’re as proud of our culture as we are of our work. You will be too.
In this role you will:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create compelling user experiences and intuitive interfaces for our products.
- Create flows, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals for your ideas.
- Be involved in the design process from conceptualization to execution, ensuring our products exceed user expectations and business goals.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Foster a design-focused culture.
