The eLearning Course Developer plays a crucial role in the creation and enhancement of educational and training eLearning courses for both internal and external purposes. The primary purpose of the role is to develop a variety of engaging learning artifacts including asynchronous eLearning training and education courses, instructional videos, and job aids. The Course Developer will provide direct support to the instructional designer to design and develop effective, engaging, and innovative learning experiences.

What You Will Do

Provide direct support to the instructional designer to develop engaging, interactive (Levels 3-4) and effective eLearning courses, as well as certificate and certification programs that are grounded in eLearning multimedia principles.

Create high-quality training video content, including screen recordings, voiceovers, and video editing.

Develop job aids and how-to guides to support employee and customer training.

Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to understand learning objectives and course requirements.

Maintain learning content webpage.

Ensure courses are accessible and comply with relevant standards and guidelines (e.g., ADA, Section 508).

Support quality assurance testing to identify and address any issues, feedback, etc. with course usability and design.

Assess, evaluate, and continuously update and improve eLearning courses, training videos, and guides to ensure all material continues to stay up to date.

Maintain users, courses, and retention of records within the Learning Management System.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, communication design, or a related field or 3+ years experience in eLearning course development.

Proven experience developing eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline or Articulate Rise.

Proficiency in video editing software, particularly Camtasia, with experience creating instructional videos and multimedia content.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to create and format documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

Solid understanding of multimedia principles and learning technology standards (e.g., SCORM).

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Experience with learning management systems (LMS).

Familiarity with graphic design principles and multimedia production techniques is desirable.

Basic front-end web design skills, HTML and CSS, is a plus.
